About of Founder

Cartessa Knatt Zeno is the Founder and CEO of My Tresses My Way. She stopped using relaxers in 2012. Cartessa became a “product junkie” (a person buying and trying every hair product that comes on the market). She spent many “Black Friday’s” and holidays spending thousands of dollars on products. During that time she became ingredient conscience. In 2018 she decided to attempt to mix a simple hair butter and she quickly realized how relaxing and fulfilling it felt. She then began researching ingredient after ingredient and learning how to make products. After three years she came up with a hair product line that is geared toward ladies and gents wit curly and/or dry hair. Family and friends began asking for her to make them products. After use they began requesting more. She learned thought, “what if I share them with others!” This story is what created My Tresses My Way.
